The answer is simple: steel is more durable than wood. While wood is always exposed to weather damage (rotting, warping, splintering), steel always holds its shape, no matter the season. Moisture damage is never an issue, and it holds up much better to daily wear and tear for a very small additional investment. With steel, your deck will look more uniform and sleeker, with a more premium feel, and will last far longer.
Steel framing only adds about 5-10% more to the total cost of your deck. You get decades of strength, stability, and reduced maintenance for a small additional investment. Homeowners who prioritize long-term durability often choose this option.
Our composite decks come with a limited lifetime warranty, while steel-frame decks come with a 25-year warranty, so you have assurance that your investment will be protected.
Restoration is appropriate when the issues your deck faces are only cosmetic, but if the structure beneath is aging or compromised, replacement is usually the smarter choice.
Many homeowners assume their existing frame is still solid and focus on surface fixes, but the frame is the most critical part of your deck’s safety and long-term performance. Why work around the main concern instead of reinforcing your deck from the foundation up?
A full replacement gives you a brand-new structure, updated materials, and decades of reliable use for a little more investment than a restoration. Instead of putting money into temporary fixes, you get a safe, stable deck built to last and avoid ongoing repairs down the road.
